Setting Up MetaMask For BSC (Complete Guide)

MetaMask is the most-used crypto wallet. By default, it connects only to Ethereum. To use Turbo Loop (or anything on Binance Smart Chain), you need to add BSC as a network. It takes 3 minutes.

Step 1: Install MetaMask

Go to metamask.io. Download the extension (Chrome, Brave, Firefox) or the mobile app (iOS, Android). During setup:

• Write down your 12-word seed phrase — on paper, not a screenshot.
• Store it in two secure physical locations.
• Never share it with anyone. MetaMask support will never ask for it. Turbo Loop will never ask for it. Nobody legitimate will ever ask for it.

Step 2: Add the BSC network

Open MetaMask → click the network dropdown at the top (usually says "Ethereum Mainnet"). Click Add Network → Add a network manually. Enter these exact values:

• Network Name: Smart Chain
• New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
• Chain ID: 56
• Currency Symbol: BNB
• Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com

Click Save. You'll now see "Smart Chain" in the network dropdown.

Step 3: Switch to Smart Chain

Select Smart Chain from the network dropdown. Your MetaMask is now connected to BSC. The address is the same as your Ethereum address — MetaMask uses one wallet for all EVM chains.

Step 4: Get some BNB for gas

You need a tiny bit of BNB (Binance Coin) to pay for transactions on BSC. $5-$10 is more than enough for months of active use.

Options:

• Buy through Turbo Buy (MoonPay) — select BNB, send to your wallet address.
• Buy BNB on Binance/Coinbase/Kraken and withdraw to your wallet (make sure to select the BSC / BEP-20 network when withdrawing — not Ethereum).
• Swap other tokens for BNB on PancakeSwap if you already have them on BSC.

Step 5: Connect to Turbo Loop

Go to turboloop.io. Click Launch App → Connect Wallet → MetaMask. Approve the connection. You're in.

Security reminders

• Never enter your seed phrase on a website. Never.
• Bookmark the real Turbo Loop URL to avoid phishing links.
• Disconnect your wallet from sites you're done using (MetaMask → Connected Sites).
• Consider a hardware wallet (Ledger/Trezor) for large positions.

Mobile tip

For mobile use, MetaMask mobile has a built-in browser. Open the Turbo Loop URL within the MetaMask browser for a seamless connection experience. Trust Wallet works identically if you prefer that wallet.
